The Project

Mint Health + Drugs opened its first location in 2010 and has grown rapidly across Alberta. The challenge was figuring out how to improve their awareness of the services they offer and enter into the digital space. From flu shots to mental wellness, KEEN collaborated with Mint Health + Drugs to create campaigns for awareness amongst the public and to develop the client’s brand as the local community pharmacist.

Mint Health + Drugs came to KEEN to improve and elevate their brand and communications with the community. To focus on the services Mint Health + Drugs offers, KEEN developed marketing campaigns to highlight flu shots and increase brand awareness. KEEN approached the start of the campaign with extensive research. From a competitor’s analysis to past campaigns, we looked into what was in the market and gathered inspiration to develop a new and unique approach. Next steps included a collaborative brainstorming session to figure out new concepts to pitch to the client. As a result, the Flu Fighter campaign emerged victorious. Following the chosen concept, KEEN focused on creating bold creative language that plays on a superhero theme. Custom Photography was also utilized to help the target audience see themselves and feel connected to joining the fight against the flu. KEEN created a plan which suggested both traditional and digital tactics such as posters, social media, a landing page, direct mail and custom bandages. Over the years, the flu campaign has transformed concepts from Flu Fighter to Mint Condition. As well, other branch off campaigns have been developed to target other issues in the community with “Take a MoMint” focusing on wellness.
